About  Dr. Joan Paul

Dr. Joan Paul is a Psychological Associate with nearly a decade of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and mood-related concerns.

Joan believes that meaningful change can unfold within the context of a safe, authentic, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. She strives to create a space where clients genuinely feel seen, heard, and accepted—without judgment or the pressure to have everything figured out. She understands that our ways of thinking, feeling, and relating develop for important reasons, and therapy can offer a space to gently explore them with curiosity and compassion.

Grounded in relational, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed approaches, Joan tailors therapy to each person’s unique story, cultural values, and inherent strengths. She views healing as a process of cultivating insight, strengthening self-compassion, and exploring different ways of relating to ourselves and others.
