About Dr. Bette Maisel

Dr. Bette Maisel is a doctoral-level clinician of psychology with nearly 10 years of clinical experience. She specializes in trauma, neurodivergence, and addiction medicine, and is passionate about helping clients create lives that feel more balanced, meaningful, and connected. Dr. Maisel is especially dedicated to supporting individuals and families navigating ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, stress, and trauma, helping them build resilience and thrive with confidence.

 

She has worked in hospitals, private practice, and community mental health settings, and also brings experience as a teacher and supervisor, having trained graduate students and clinicians in family systems, postmodern therapy, and trauma-informed care.

 

Known for her warm and collaborative style, Dr. Maisel integrates evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and harm reduction. She centers cultural humility, compassion, and empowerment in her work, offering a non-judgmental approach that frames challenges not as personal failings but as opportunities for growth and healing.

Fun Facts

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Maisel is a parent and artist who loves painting and writing poetry, exploring adventures big and small with her kids, and finding joy in rock climbing and time outdoors.
